I.T EQUIPMENT COMPATIBILITY INFORMATION FOR SCHOOL VISITORS

Our school has interactive display boards in every classroom, supported by Lenovo ThinkPad Hybrid USB-C with USB-A Docks to assist with ease of use for our pupils, staff and visitors. If you plan to use our audio / visual equipment during your visit, please ensure your device meets the following requirements:

Device Requirements:

Supported Operating Systems:

Drivers:
To connect via the Lenovo ThinkPad Hybrid Dock, your device must have the appropriate drivers installed. Drivers are available for Windows and Linux operating systems. You can download them from the official Lenovo support page: Lenovo ThinkPad Hybrid Dock Drivers (specifically the display driver)

Please consult with your I.T. department to ensure your device is compatible and set up correctly prior to your visit.

macOS Users:

While macOS devices may work with limited functionality using USB-C for basic connections, Lenovo does not officially support macOS drivers for this dock. For full compatibility, we recommend using a Windows or Linux device. Please also ensure you bring a HDMI to USB type C adapter if you have a device with only USB type C ports.

Other notes:

If your device cannot connect via the Lenovo dock, we also of course can ensure a simple HDMI connection is available. Please note that using HDMI will require prior arrangements, so contact us ahead of time to ensure the necessary setup is in place. For access to Wi-Fi services please also attempt to contact us ahead of time so we can ensure everything will be ready for when you visit.
